Later life home movers

This couple were planning to move house to be nearer to their adult children, and to build in some ‘downsizing’ as it was just the two of them since all their children have now fled the nest. As the area they wanted to move to is a more expensive part of the country, they knew they would need to arrange a mortgage to bridge the gap.

Whilst both still worked, they are planning to retire in the next 10 years, and they were worried about the availability and affordability of a mortgage as they were in their late 50’s.

Our mortgage advice team carried out a detailed budget assessment with the couple, including looking at their plans for retirement including their income needs. They searched the market and secured a mortgage within the couple’s budget and over a term that matched their retirement plans.

Thanks again for locking in the rate and getting it all to this stage… You’re sensational and thank you again for all your work on this.

Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up with repayments on your mortgage,
or other loan secured on it.
