Tony Whincup

Tony has over 20 years’ experience in UK wealth management. Working with a range of colleagues – across investments, research, marketing and business development – he shares our best investment thinking with clients and their financial planners. He is responsible for our Intermediary Partnerships channel and many investment communications.

Tony joined the company  as an Investment Specialist in 2017. He began his investment career in the Channel Islands, spending almost 10 years at UBS Jersey. As a high-net-worth Client Adviser, he specialised in managing investments for UK resident-non-domiciled clients across discretionary, advisory and execution-only mandates. He has also worked at St James’s Place in the UK, offering holistic financial planning and wealth management advice. Prior to this time, Tony worked as a Broadcast Journalist at media firms including the BBC and CNN.

As well as being a Chartered Fellow and Wealth Manager of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, Tony holds a PG Dip. in Broadcast Journalism from City St. George’s, University of London, and a dual-honours degree in French and Geography from Keele University.

In his spare time, Tony is learning Spanish and enjoys speaking it badly! He’s a keen foodie and loves travelling and new experiences with his wife and two young sons. He lives in Essex.
